White Mullet "Silver Mullet" - Mugil Curema

Description: Hard to tell apart from the Black Mullet, especially if comparable in size. The Silver Mullet is usually smaller in size and lighter in color. Stripes are not as vivid.
The caudal fin of the Silver Mullet is edged in black, making a V.
Similar fish: Striped Mullet "Black Mullet"
Where found: Shallow coastal waters. Not as common in fresh water as the Black Mullet.
Size: Average size is about a pound or smaller.
Remarks: Often used as bait.
