Lane Snapper - Lutjanus synagris
Family Lutjanidae, SNAPPERS
Description: Lane Snapper colors vary greatly depending on size and habitat. Has rosy hues, along with broken yellow bars along the sides and its fins are mostly yellow. The single black spot on the side is larger than the black spot found on the Mutton Snapper. The anal fin is rounded.

Where found: All coasts of Florida.
Size: Usually under a pound. Have been caught as large as 5 pounds.

Florida record: 6 pounds, 6 ounces.
