Banded Rudderfish - Seriola zonata
Family Carangidae, JACKS and POMPANOS
Description: Often confused with the Pilotfish. The Banded Rudderfish is actually a small type of Amberjack as seen by the dark line though the eye, which the Pilotfish lacks.
Similar fish: Pilotfish.
Where found: All of Florida, Bahamas and Caribbean.
Size: Usually smaller than a foot.
Remarks: Great fighter for its size.
