Tripletail - Lobotes surinamensis

Description: Normally a brownish color. Head is concave above the mouth. Almost looks like a panfish at first glance. The meeting of the dorsal, caudal and anal fin give it the "tripletail" name.
Similar fish:
Where found: Florida, Bahamas and Caribbean.
Found near costal areas of Florida during warmer months. Can be found in larger bays too.
Size: Average of 2 to 12 pounds.

Florida record: 40 pounds, 13 ounces.

Must remain in whole condition until landed ashore (heads and tails intact)
