Speckled Hind - Epinephelus drummondhayi

Description: Dark gray or reddish brown with small creamy or white spots on the sides, gill covers and fins.
Similar fish:
Where found: Found in most of the Gulf. Often caught on ledges and outcroppings at least 300 feet down or deeper.
Size: Often range from 5 to 20 pounds. Have been caught up to 40 pounds.
