What you need to know.


We are a warranty center for Finnor Reels, Okuma Reels, Penn Reels, Shimano Reels, Scotty Downriggers, VanStaal Reels, Zebco Reels and Star Rods. We are also a service center (sorry, we are not able to do warranty repairs) for Daiwa. We have a very extensive inventory of both reel parts and rod components. Our staff is professional and very knowledgeable. They have years of experience and know how to deal with any problem. What do I need to do to send you a rod or reel to be repaired?
If you have a rod or reel that needs repairs you can drop it off at any of our locations or ship it to the following address: Half Hitch Tackle Attention: Service Department 2206 Thomas Dr. Panama City Beach, FL 32408

Be sure to include the following information or print and fill out the repair PDF form below.
Full Name
Return shipping address, street, city, state and Zip. We prefer to return ship by UPS, so a street address is necessary. Daytime phone number, in case we have questions. Description of what is wrong with the item. How you would like to pay for any charges. Sorry no COD’s. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Money Orders and personal checks (please allow 7 days for checks to clear) for payment.

What do I need to do to get a warranty repair?
All requests for warranty repairs must be accompanied by a dated sales receipt showing where and when purchased. Remember that most warranties say REPAIR or replace at their option, so most items will be repaired and returned to you.

What are the repair charges?
We have very reasonable labor rates which are listed below. All repair charges are the below rates plus any parts that are replaced, shipping, insurance charges and sales tax if applicable. For continental U.S. reel repair shipping is $6.00 for the first reel and $2 per additional reel to be shipped UPS ground plus insurance of $.50 per $100 in excess of $100 in value. Rod repair shipping charges are $10 tube charge; unless customer furnished acceptable tube for return shipping, plus $15 for up to 4 rods 7’0” or less. Rods over 7’0” in length require additional shipping charges, call for quote. Call for quotes of shipping outside the continental U.S. It is hard to give estimates before reels are torn apart and cleaned. We will gladly call with an estimate if you wish but there will be a $10 charge if we do not complete the repairs. However we will always contact you should any repairs exceed 60% of the replacement cost of the reel.

Do you sell just parts?
 

Yes, we stock over 10,000 rod and reel parts at competitive prices. All special order non stock parts must be paid for in advance.	Rods can be custom built to your specifications at our custom rod shop.
All reels that are repaired at Half Hitch Tackle are cleaned and lubed, then processed though our state of the art ultrasonic cleaner.
