When kayak fishing in saltwater you'll likely be fishing more open and rough waters.

This means that you should choose a kayak that is a longer and more stable than a shorter kayak for use in rivers, creeks and protected waters. When you use a larger kayak you'll be more stable and you can store more equipment and accessories for the long offshore haul.

Make sure that you choose a kayak that fits you and you feel comfortable fishing from, according to where you are fishing. It is not a bad idea to try the kayak before you make the purchase. Our Half Hitch Kayak Pro Dave Posey can demonstrate each kayak that we have here at Half Hitch.
