It's June fishing season for you; we have heat, humidity, and the beloved, slimy Junegrass getting in the way of everything!
Despite these obstacles, Anglers have had a hot week! The highlights being: Tarpon are showing up, Snapper season is in full swing, and Flounder is heating up!
Kings are ruling the piers this week with Chicken Dolphin a close second.
Trout and Redfish bite has been good, and there are lots and lots of sharks to catch.
Be sure to take advantage of Wahoo while they're here, and don't miss Snapper while they're in season!
Live shrimp has been hard to come by this past week but as of today, we have it in stock!
If you're looking for bait, there have been plenty of Herring around the Whistle Buoy
Flounder has been good lately and are loving Tiger minnows.
Pier: A lot of Kings caught this past week, Mahi (Chicken dolphin) too. A few Sailfish have been spotted but none have been pulled up yet.
Inshore: Trout and Redfish bite has been good with plenty of Ladyfish mixed in. It's Bluegill bedding season, look for them in shallow nests in sandy areas. Crappie can be found in the deeper waters. Flounder is excellent to catch in the summer because the tide allows you to get up into the shallows.
Surf: If you can find some clean water free of Junegrass there are tons of little sharks to catch using Mullet chunks or Bonita.
Offshore: Wahoo is on the way out, be sure to catch your limit of Black and Red Snapper before the season comes to a close July 20th. Snapper will be best in the evening or night with the upcoming full moon.
