What do I need to do to send you a rod or reel to be repaired?

If you have a rod or reel that needs repair, you can drop it off at any of our locations or ship it to the following address: Half Hitch Tackle, Attention: Service Department, 2206 Thomas Dr., Panama City Beach, FL 32408.

Which brands do you repair?

We are a warranty center for Daiwa, Penn, and Van Staal. We also repair Shimano reels. These are the only manufacturers that we repair.

Include the following information or fill out our repair form:

• Full Name, Return Shipping Address, Street, City, State and Zip.
• We prefer to return ship by UPS/FedEx, so a street address and daytime phone number are necessary.
• Description of what is wrong with the item.
• How you would like to pay for any charges. Sorry no COD’s. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Money Orders, and personal checks (please allow 7 days for checks to clear) for payment.

What do I need to do to get a warranty repair?

All requests for warranty repairs must be accompanied by a dated sales receipt showing where and when purchased. Remember that most warranties say REPAIR or replace at their option, so most items will be repaired and returned to you.

What are the repair charges?

All repair charges include labor rates plus parts, shipping, insurance charges, and sales tax if applicable. Shipping costs vary and are based on actual UPS/FedEx rates. We do not ship outside the continental U.S. It is hard to give estimates before reels are torn apart and cleaned. We will gladly call with an estimate if you wish but there will be a $20 charge if we do not complete the repairs. However we will always contact you should any repairs exceed 50% of the replacement cost of the reel. Click here for labor rates and Click here for line spooling rates.

Yes, we stock over 10,000 rod and reel parts at competitive prices. All special order non-stock parts must be paid for in advance.
