Navarre Fishing Report 6-12-23
Red Snapper opens for recreational anglers in the gulf this Friday, June 16th!
Surf Fishing
Anglers casting their lines from the surf in Navarre have encountered some challenges due to the arrival of June grass. This natural phenomenon has started impacting the bite, making it a bit more difficult to catch fish. However, don't lose hope! Despite the presence of June grass, some anglers have still managed to land pompano and whiting. Fishgum, FishBites, and sand fleas are the go-to surf baits.
Pier Fishing
Fishing enthusiasts visiting the pier in Navarre have had plenty of action as well. Blues and spanish mackerel continue to be plentiful and readily caught. Additionally, king mackerel have made their appearance, adding an extra thrill to the pier fishing scene. While the tarpon have started showing up, there haven't been many hookups reported yet. Try Hogy Swimbaits, NLBN Mini Mullets, and Pro-Cure Bait Scent if you're targeting tarpon.
