Destin Fishing Report 11-10-25
This week brings the first real cold of the year. While it will be cold, now is the time to get some blackfin nearshore trolling. The cold will fire them up if you're willing to be there early and brave the elements.
Bait has been hard to catch on the full moon. If you're heading offshore, make sure to grab some frozen cigar minnows until the bait starts to bite again. All our fish Saturday came off of frozen bait.
Pier Fishing
Sunday may have been one of the best days in a long time at Navarre Pier. It can always be a rumor when it comes to numbers, but they did catch a lot of tuna. The rumor number is 73 tuna. They also had some kings.
Our pier had tuna and kings as well as hooking a yellowfin. Not those kind of numbers they saw at Navarre though. You can add pompano and whiting to that list also.

Nearshore Trolling
If you troll the nearshore reefs, especially those west of Fort Walton and the Navarre Kayak Reefs, you should find plenty of kings and tuna.
Other locations include the timber holes, victory rock and Nicky grounds.

Bottom Fishing
The red snapper surprised this weekend with the full moon. Better than I expected. Plenty of mingos and some nice triggers were caught as well.
We caught the biggest white snapper (porgy) I have ever seen or caught Saturday. I guess we should have taken it to Harborwalk for a possible state record. Appears the record is 5.88lbs and ours would have easily made 7lb and maybe more.

Surf Fishing
Pompano have been plentiful and there have been good numbers of whiting caught.

Bay Fishing
Trout and reds will will take live shrimp, topwater lures, and soft plastics. Try working the sand holes and grass flats around the shallows in the bay.
Larger reds are around the Destin bridge and white trout are around the Shalimar and Cinco Bayou Bridge.

Offshore Trolling
There were some wahoo just off the edges. A few yellowfin were caught around the nipple and elbow.
It's crazy, but there are more blackfin within a mile or two of the beach than there are offshore right now.
