Navarre Fishing Report 5-5-24
Wow what a great start to the spring! We have had interesting weather patterns with lots of wind which is making it a little difficult to get out there but the fish are still biting!
Surf
The surf bite has been phenomenal! We love seeing all these pictures of pompano limits.
Big redfish have also been cruising the surf along with big jack crevalle.
All that wind from the week caused the water to churn up causing some massive bluefish to be caught on the surf and piers.
Live sand fleas have been working great for the pompano. Topwater lures and diamond jigs have been the ticket for the jack crevalle.

Pier
The pier bite has been average these past couple weeks, with a few cobia mostly being the smaller males.
A few jack schools have been coming throughout the day. Massive 4-5lb spanish mackerel have also been caught mostly on hex head jigs and Got-Cha Plugs.

Inshore
The inshore has been really good with nice trout cruising the grass flats, using Mirrodines or live pinfish will definitely entice a bite from them.
The redfish are still on the sand flats but have been a little picky lately.
Flounder have been pretty decent near structure, you can use a curly tail on bottom for these.

Offshore
The offshore bite is shaping up to be great!
Some king mackerel have been caught close to the passes.
Amberjack just opened and people have been catching some legal ones on the nearshore reefs.
Red snapper are plentiful as always hoping they will still be there for a nice long snapper season this June.
