PC/PCB Fishing Report 11-27-23
Surf Fishing
Three words! Whiting, whiting, whiting! There have been some excellent catches of whiting. Many are larger ones as well! Peeled shrimp are best, but sandfleas are working too. There are still some pompano, but the bigger ones are becoming less common. Redfish in the slot are also showing up too.
The cooler weather may slow it down temporarily, but recovery should happen with sunny days and the overnight low temperatures staying in the mid 40's or higher.
Near Shore Trolling
King mackerel have held out later this year and the past week was evidence of that with kings still cooperative.
Blackfin tuna have also crashed the party as well.

Bottom Fishing
Red Snapper has closed for the season. Last weekend was the last chance. The red snappers were eating it up until the end! A number of folks grabbed their limits and got back with plenty of time for football.
Mangrove snapper were still good, and vermillion were just okay, not bad, just there in the mix.
Flounder reopens December 1st.

Pier Fishing
The king mackerel bite got smoking hot! Nice fish in the 10lb - 27lb range were caught. Spanish mackerel were sparce.
Some nice redfish were landed. A few pompano, and couple of flounder were caught as well.

Bay Fishing
Redfish and trout have been common, but with cooler nights coming, water temperature changes will dictate a lot of locations.
Shallow muddy bottoms will have slightly higher temperatures. Especially on super sunny days.

Offshore Fishing
Blackfin tuna, yellowfin, mahi, tilefish, and most any others have been cooperative for those willing to go out put in the time and work.
