PC/PCB Fishing Report 11-25-24
St. Andrews State Park boat ramp has re-opened!
Bay Fishing
There is still bait and the fish are feeding on it so find the bait and you'll usually find the fish.
The flats are hot early and late with the trout. The redfish are cruising all day through the flats looking to find the bait. Flounder have been a catch, but they do not open until December 1st. Both artificial and live bait are catching fish.
The bridges and the pass are active with redfish. Drifting a 3-4oz lead on a Carolina rig will work, but casting artificial soft plastics on the rocks will get some bites and more likely a slot redfish. Usually, the deeper fish tend to be over slot.

*BRAND NEW* Ghost Shrimp FishBites
Get 'em while they're hot! We now have Ghost Shrimp FishBites to pair with your bait.
In May they handed out samples to try that were actually early batches. Reports were excellent. They tweaked and improved a few things and now you absolutely should be using some on your next fishing trip to the beach.
Surf Fishing
The weather has gotten cooler, but the fishing is still good. Pompano are still being caught. More whiting are also being caught. Smaller black drum and jumbos are active too.
The warmer days have yielded more fish. The redfish are still around as well. There has been a LOT of mullet caught on hooks! Yes, hooks! Most have been on those using Fishgum. For some reason they seem to like it?

Fish-N-Mate Rake and Spike Carrier
This easy to attach accessory will make your next trip to the beach a whole lot easier! This Rake and Spike holder fits 4 Fish-N-Mate Sand Spikes and a Fish-N-Mate Sand Flea Rake.
Pier Fishing
The king mackerel bite has been good at times, but it should be much tougher soon since we have dipped below the magic number of 72 degrees in the water.
Spanish mackerel, bluefish, some bonita, and redfish are also being caught.
Closer to the beach there are pompano and whiting to catch as well.

Bottom Fishing
The fishing and catching have been really great. The Governor has opened up weekends for red snapper throughout the rest of the year. Here are the open dates for recreational anglers and state licensed charters:
- November 22-24
- November 28-30 (Thanksgiving Holiday)
- December 6-8
- December 13-15
- December 20-22
- December 24-31 (Christmas Eve through New Years Eve)
The bite has been hot, quick, and not too far out! Both live and dead bait are working. Red snapper, mangrove snapper, almaco jacks, triggerfish, vermillion, and various species of “white snapper” are being caught. Most everyone from novice anglers to the headboats have been hammering them very well!

Nearshore Trolling
There are still some king mackerel out there, but the water is cooling.
There have been a couple of wahoo reported on flatlines with a live bait.
As the water timps dip below 72 the king tend to bugout and head south.

Offshore Trolling & Bottom Fishing
Not too much to report, but it should be good especially bottom fishing.
