PC/PCB Fishing Report 11-13-23
Surf Fishing
The best thing going this past week was the whiting bite.
Sandfleas and shrimp with Fishbites was reportedly good in just off the beach with light florocarbon line and smaller hooks too. Use minimal weight, just enough to keep it on the bottom and drift slightly. A deep pocket, or trough area near shore is the place.
A few redfish are around as well. Pompano have slowed, but still some here. Shorts, mid- sized, and some 2.5 to 3lb fish were caught.
Near Shore Trolling
King mackerel and blackfin tuna have both been good at times. Hard bottom areas did produce some fish. There were several really nice catches of both.

Bottom Fishing
The bite has continued to be decent. Red snapper, mangrove snapper, some “white snapper” too! Cut bait using cigar minnows, northern mackerel, squid, and live baits have all worked well.
Lots of small AJ’s and some out of season keepers.
Remember, November is the last month for recreational red snapper weekends. Sunday night of Thanksgiving weekend is your last chance.
Flounder reopens December 1st.

Pier Fishing
The king mackerel bite slowed, and so did much of other species including redfish, spanish, and bonita.
The cold front has had a lot to do with the slowing.
Bay Fishing
Redfish and trout are still good. Some schools of bluefish are mixing in as well. Soft plastics, top water, suspending twichbaits, and live bait are all working.
Bridges and the pass are holding redfish, bluefish, mangrove snapper, an occasional wary sheepead, and some spanish mackerel.
Offshore Fishing
Blackfin tuna, wahoo, marlin, a few swordfish. Some yellowfin were caught but later week was a no go on the weather for most.
